The aim of the HR4SC project is the creation of a service/product oriented to the collection, classification, updating and interaction in natural language, of data related to the state of the road surface. The system identifies this state through an algorithm, assigning its level of quality and creating a database for its mapping and monitoring purposes. The algorithm has been identified by the acronym RCC (Road Condition Classification).

The system identifies this state through an algorithm being patented internationally, assigning its level of quality and creating a database that grows and feeds itself in a constant and continuous way.

The system is mainly oriented to:

  • Citizens: to move and travel in safety and comfort also thanks to the advanced interaction based on the latest technologies: automatic voice technology and artificial intelligence;
  • Public administration: to monitor, manage and plan the maintenance of the road network;
  • Insurance: to improve the risk assessment of your policyholders;
  • Car manufacturers: to provide additional services with high added value to its customers.

The service collects information on the state of the road surface, identifies the failures and produces the relative classification (absence of failure until serious failure). The aim of the project is also and above all to create a centralized database containing information on road profile mapping at national level accessible online to everyone through the various digital channels. This information is useful both for the end user and for the road surface management bodies as it would allow them to better plan their maintenance work. The service is based on two main components, an application (Mobile App) resident on the user's device and an application for server-side data processing
